Recruitment Description
/ Key AccountabilitiesLead the condition monitoring team in executing thermography, ultrasound analysis, motor circuit analysis, and conveyor belt scans to determine the condition of machinery / equipment as part of the predictive maintenance programme on the specific mine / plant.
Manage vibration analysis on rotating equipment as specified by the maintenance management team.
Oversee the implementation and execution of a complete oil analysis programme as determined by the maintenance management team.
Direct a complete wall thickness test programme on equipment as determined by the maintenance management team.
Decide on criteria and monitor the oil distribution system at department or mine, to achieve appropriate cleanliness levels.
Set up filtration standards on hydraulic systems to maintain effective filtration systems.
Conduct laser alignment to rectify misalignment condition on drive trains.
Define and establish vibration criteria, alarm levels, frequencies, and database for equipment.
Run testing and vibration analysis on selected equipment at suppliers before dispatch to the relevant mine or department.
Direct the setup of a performance measurement system and measure the value added by predictive maintenance techniques.
Implement fault and equipment type summaries process to emphasise faced issues to maintenance personnel and determine failure tendencies.
Continuously check that condition monitoring equipment are well-maintained, serviced, and calibrated, according to suppliers’ specifications.
Handle investigation of component failures using root cause analysis.
Report deviations detected to the relevant maintenance personnel and compile a deviation / corrective action report for actions by engineering personnel.
Prepare and conduct weekly feedback presentations to plant.
Ascertain standardisation of condition monitoring techniques as determined by the standardisation workgroup.
Control team’s adherence to safety standards and procedures at all times.
Design training material and train maintenance personnel on the basic concepts of predictive maintenance.
Apply evidence-based SHE practices in alignment with set standards for safe operations.
Implement Sasol Group's risk philosophy and enterprise risk management framework.
Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to optimise the reliability and integrity of equipment and systems.
