Job Description

Requirements
B.Pharm Degree
Registration as a Qualified Pharmacist with the SAPC
2 – 3 years Managerial experience
Responsibilities
Reviews prescriptions for appropriateness of therapy to determine ingredients needed and to ensure correct dosage.
Oversees the performance of packaging, labelling, measuring, compounding, storing, charging, and recording medications used in patient care.
Develop relationship with all stakeholders to facilitate update and understanding of pharmacy systems and policies
Supervise and guide the pharmacist assistants and interns and cashier/frontshop assistant. Custodians for management of Schedule 5&6 drugs as per legal requirements
Keep updated with new developments in pharmaceutical field
Involvement in clinical and operational committees relating to all faculties of pharmacy
Assist with all aspects of ethical stock control including, re-ordering of stock, maintaining dedicated stock areas for organisation and expiry dates, conducting cyclical and full stock takes
