DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide support to the Group Procurement Manager in managing and executing purchasing operationsAssist with the administration for the procurement of goods and services, maintaining accurate procurement records and ensuring that the procurement processes adhere to company policies and legal standardsPerform administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, taking minutes of meetings and managing correspondence related to procurement activitiesSupplier credit applications, manage supplier credit application process from start to finishData capturing for reportingFlexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manage tasksAssist in the preparation and processing of purchase orders and documents in accordance with company policies and proceduresMonitor and track the status of orders, ensuring timely delivery of goods and servicesCommunicate with suppliers to resolve issues related to pricing, delivery and quality of goods and servicesSupport the procurement team with administrative work when negotiating contracts and terms with suppliersHelp in capturing data to evaluate supplier performance and complianceAssist recording and building a database for the analysis of market trends and supplier performance to support strategic procurement decisionsEnsure the procurement database and records are accurate and up to dateSupport the implementation of procurement strategies to optimize cost savings and efficiencyAbility to maintain confidentialityREQUIREMENTS: Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management (or any related field)Proven experience as a personal assistant, administrative assistant or in a similar role (ideally within procurement or the supply chain environment)Strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management principlesProficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software
