About the Position
Our Group Practice at our soon to be commissioned, 36-bed, physical- rehabilitation sub-acute hospital in Worcester, Western Cape is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join their team.REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING: BSc Occupational Therapy / Occupational Therapy (community year completed)Registered with HPCSA (independent practitioner) and Malpractice InsuranceMaintain CPD standing as required by HPCSA.Bobath / NDT training is beneficial.3-5 Years experience in a rehabilitation environment is required.Basic / Intermediate wheelchair training is beneficial.Special interest and broad experience in Orthopaedics, Neurology (CVA/TBI and SCI) and Vocational readying.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Knowledge of the ICF Framework with good written and spoken English language skills.Effective interdisciplinary team member.Awareness of evidence base for interventions.Computer literacy (Beginner/intermediate Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook).Experience coordinating projects, people, or services.To foster therapeutic relationships in the inter-disciplinary team by developing joint goals, sharing information, and promoting a collaborative approach to patient and family care and outcomes.Available to work on a weekend / public holiday on rotation.KEY COMPETENCIES: Communication.Initiative-taking.Flexibility.Willingness to change.Humility.Perseverance.REMUNERATION: Cost to Company starting from R R25 863.00HOW TO APPLY: The selection and recruitment process for this vacancy will be administered by HealthLynx.
