Occupational Health Medical Practitioner Function Life Occupational health / Employee Wellness Facility Life Health Solutions | Inland South Position Occupational Health Medical Practitioner Introduction A vacancy exists for a Sessional Occupational Medical Practitioner based in Gauteng, reporting to the Regional Business Manager. The successful candidate will be required to work at least 6 hours a week and may include additional ad hoc hours depending on business requirements.
The main purpose of this position is to be responsible for the management and provision of Occupational, Primary Healthcare at client sites and/or for remote review of Occupational Medical Examinations.
Critical Outputs To manage and provide quality professional Occupational, Primary Healthcare and Emergency Care services, at the Client's siteTo maintain an Occupational Health Risk Management Programme at the Client's siteTo assist with on-going development, implementation and evaluation of the on-site Occupational Health Programme.To conduct health risk assessments, compile related feedback reports and assist with development and implementation of a risk based medical surveillance programme and matrixTo conduct medical examinations, assess and trend medical surveillance resultsTo assist with work related clinical matters, fitness and return to work assessments and incapacity assessments.To assist with injuries on duty and medical emergencies as per client scope of services.To assume responsibility for the functional clinical and medical assessments of patientsTo advise the client on Occupational, Primary, General and emergency Health and legislative related mattersTo facilitate the implementation of all related legislative requirementsTo assist with the updating of policies, procedures and protocols, in line with current or changing legislationTo remotely review and sign off on occupational medical examinations using Vigor (Life Health Solutions Occupational Health electronic system).
