Job Description:This role will support integrated planning practices with the aim of ensuring optimal parts availability through streamlined physical networks to achieve step-change performance.Your duties will include:• Identify ways to support specific safety, health & sustainability opportunities and risks and ensure that materials planning activities complies with all Safety, Health & Environmental requirements.• Manage the effective implementation of the Supply Chain strategy within the Physical Supply Chain and materials planning environment• Embrace an agile Supply Chain by being adaptive and flexible to accommodate and focus on emerging and changing business?priorities?• Implement the Materials Plan based upon inputs from end-users and historical data analysis to meet end-user requirements at optimal inventory levels• Execute the operation and output of reliable planning and suggested inventory models based on detailed inputs from end-users, MRP analysts and forecasting models to inform category decisions across the region• Adhere to the standards and guidelines for inventory management • Execute the fulfilment modes for material segments/items• Ensure that master data parameters for new and existing items are updated to the correct standards e.g. attributes• Drive the working capital optimization opportunities for execution e.g. disposal of excess and obsolete stock• Provide input into frontloading, identification and sizing of initiatives relating to?working capital benefits• Ensure that inventory optimization events are planned,?scheduled,?resourced, and executed in a timely and visible manner • Implement inventory optimization initiatives to minimize wastage at the operations to minimize Anglo American's carbon footprint • Implement working capital optimization opportunities and identify and ensure the execution of cost reduction initiatives that positively impacts cost to serve• Maintain stakeholder relationships within the Supply Chain, key suppliers and internal end-users (maintenance & production teams) to enable effective planning and fulfilment of demand• Provide advice to stakeholders regarding MRP and demand planning processes• Embrace a Supply Chain team culture of diversity and inclusiveness Qualifications:An undergraduate qualification - Bachelor degree level or equivalent, alternatively relevant tertiary qualificationDesirable: A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline OR a proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity.Experience and Technical Knowledge:• Sound knowledge of systematic capabilities and systems materials planning, i.e., demand algorithms and statistical models and operation thereof• Experience working in a complex environment and managing multiple internal and external stakeholder perspectives• Experience in demand forecasting and planning abilities• Material Planning (Advanced)• Planning (Competent)• SC Systems & Processes (Competent)• Stakeholder Engagement and Communication (Competent)• Project Management (Developing)• Technical Analysis (Competent)• Safety knowledge (Competent)• Business Acumen (Developing)• Logistics Management (Competent)• Warehouse Management (Developing)• Driving Performance (Developing)• Leading Change (Developing)• Optimization (Developing)
