Qualifications and Experience:BSc Degree in GeologySurvey, Rock Engineering and Mine Planningexperience essentialExtensivegeological orebody modelling and estimation software experienceMinimum of10 years progressive experience in mineral resource evaluation and managementMinimum of10 years progressive experience in the mining industryExtensive knowledge ofmining operations with a focus on resource optimizationProven track record insuccessful project management, demonstrating expertise in addressing various mining challenges and a comprehensive understanding of SAs mining regulationsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilities, strong analytical and problem-solving skillsDuties:Resource Evaluation:Conduct comprehensive mineral resource assessments and provide strategic recommendations for optimal extractionOperational Optimization:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance mining operations and resource utilization efficiencyProject Management:Greenfields Project experienceProject Planning:Lead and contribute to the planning and execution of mineral resource projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulationsRisk Management:Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with resource extraction, ensuring safe and sustainable practicesCollaboration:Work closely with Geologists, Mining Engineers and other stakeholders to maximize the value of mineral resourcesReporting:Prepare accurate and timely reports on mineral resource estimates, contributing to informed decision makingPosition based in GAUTENG, will manage operations in OTHER AREAS as well.Involves travel to sites regularly
