Our Company The company's offices are located in Sandton, Johannesburg, with facilities including office space, a conference room and a phone centre. Alinta Tech has a limited number of private investors. The company has begun offering services as of the 1st March 2022

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a passionate and dedicated Educator/Mentor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality educational content and providing mentorship to our learners. This role requires a deep commitment to fostering the intellectual and emotional growth of students, tailoring educational experiences to meet individual needs, and promoting a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities:
Design and implement engaging lesson plans that meet educational standards and cater to the diverse needs of learners.
Provide one-on-one mentorship and guidance to students, supporting their academic, personal, and professional development.
Evaluate student progress through assessments, assignments, and feedback, adjusting instructional methods to suit learning styles.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider community to support student success and well-being.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and emerging technologies.
Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and motivating environment that encourages students to achieve their full potential.
Address behavioral and academic challenges with empathy, employing strategies that promote positive behavior and learning outcomes.
RequirementsHard Skills Required: Proficiency in all aspects of Nail Technology, including:Basic manicures and pedicures
Gel overlays, tips, and sculpting
Liquid and powder acrylic overlays, tips, and sculpting
Nail art techniques
Minimum of 3 years of industry experience
Advanced skills in nail application techniques mentioned above
At least 1 year of experience in training or educating within the field
Experience as an Assessor/Moderator is advantageous
Strong proficiency in computer use, including daily operation of Virtual Academic Centre & Dashboard, OneDrive for file sharing, Outlook for email and calendar management, and proficiency in Excel and Word
Soft Skills: A strong passion for education, the beauty industry, and specifically nails
Professional appearance and punctuality
Excellent command of English, both in speech and clarity of diction, for effective training delivery. Non-native English speakers must be able to communicate clearly in English.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and multitasking abilities
Proficient time management skills, with a knack for completing tasks promptly and seeking support when necessary
Team player, willing to assist colleagues as needed
Non-Negotiable Requirements: Required to travel bi-monthly to EC/PE/Garden Route (travel expenses paid by the company)
Mandatory participation in bi-monthly in-store demo days alongside a sales consultant for promoting new products and troubleshooting (excluding in-store training)
Compulsory attendance at bi-monthly internal training sessions, scheduled before and after standard working hours (e.g., 7:30-8:30 AM and 5:30-6:30 PM; times may vary)
Standard working hours are 8 AM – 5 PM at the Academy in Rondebosch, with possible weekend training sessions scheduled in advance (compensatory leave provided)
Adherence to strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with complete training provided before the start date and ongoing. Training may occur outside of regular working hours.
No external employment in beauty salons or related fields is allowed during employment, including weekends.
Academy-provided phone and laptop (inclusive of call minutes and data) for professional communication only.Must possess a car and a valid driver's license.Residency required in or near the following areas:#J-18808-Ljbffr
