As a Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Operator in our Johannesburg facility, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and accurate movement of goods. We're looking for a team player with a passion for operational excellence and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.Responsibilities:Adhere to standard warehouse practices and procedures to maintain high levels of inventory and location accuracy.Complete routine documentation accurately, including pick sheets, manifests, and unload lists.Operates propane and/or electric powered forklifts.Loads and unloads freight as directed by Operations supervisor.Verifies shipping documents, shipping labels and purchase orders.Utilizes relevant systems to produce required documents for inventory receipt, movement or shipping and verifies product.May be required to identify and understand batch codes and Julian dates and to understand ASN use and system requirements.Completes daily equipment inspections.Maintains safety standards and valid equipment operating certification.Who we are looking for;Someone with:Minimum of 2+ years of experience working in a Warehouse/Distribution Centre, including picking, packing, receiving, shipping, returns, value-added processing, and sub-assembly.Forklift driving license is required.Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.Proven ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deadlines.Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety regulations within the business unit.What We Offer:Join us at Maersk for an exciting global career at the forefront of world trade.
