MANAGER: HUMAN RESOURCES• Salary: R513 888.48 – R667 079.40 p.a. (Task Grade 15) • Benefits: Housing allowance (subject to conditions of services), medical aid, pension fund and 13th cheque. Minimum requirements: A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources/HRD/Public Management or equivalent NQF Level 07 • Two (02) years' minimum experience in the position of Human Resources Manager with proven knowledge of Employment Equity, Human Resources Strategy, Workplace skills Plan, Implementation of collective agreements and legislations/regulations in local government • Computer literacy, ability to adapt to a flexible schedule; ability to maintain highest level of confidentiality; ability to prioritize and work in a multi-tasked • Valid driver's licence • Postgraduate in HR related studies will be added advantage.
Required Skills: • Excellent interpersonal; report writing, presentation skills and Communication skills • People management, presentation and facilitation skills, team work.
Responsibilities: • Manage the recruitment and selection processes, maintain positive employer/employee relationship, monitor and implementation of all human resources policies, legislations, collective agreements • Review of human resources strategy and human resources procedure manual policy • Manage the scope and procedural administrative requirements and reporting deadlines associated with the functionality, monitor performance (PMS) of the staff under human resources section • Participate in Trade Union and Regional Human Resources Forums, Committees, etc. with a view to interacting and leading discussions on the implementation of national strategies and constraints facing regional alignment • Facilitate the sitting of the local labour forum, attend to labour related matters (unions and employees) • Review the Workplace Skills Plan and in conjunction with the relevant Sector Education and Training Authority, establishes and confirms the status of levies and grants and reports on progress in achieving short to medium term objectives, ensures that the plan is submitted on time • Coordinate and control procedures and research sequences associated with Disciplinary and Grievance cases and enquiries information management and record keeping.
