Overall Purpose of the Job:Responsible for the preparation of management packs, budgets, forecasts & adhoc reports; analysis of performance against targets advising senior management on pre-emptive problem solving, adapting to changing circumstances & improving value. The role will be instrumental in managing & reducing operational costs & implementing newer, more effective strategies & processes.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Suitable Bachelor’s Degree (Accounting / Financial Management) required + CIMA (preferred)
3 to 5 years of analytical experience
SAP (or other ERP) experience
Advanced Excel
Main Duties:
Preparation of annual budgets, monthly forecasts & projections
Preparation & review monthly management reports & flashes
Review of actual performance against targets with detailed variance analysis.
Management of the Financial Accountant to Review & analyse the General Ledger Accounts of the region, and provide clear commentary to aid in decision making by Senior Management.
Preparation & review of Weekly Activity Reports (WAR)
Provide financial support to the HOD’s, to achieve targets, optimise costs & improve EBIT
Responsible for investment request process, including investment / project appraisal & management of head office Capex spend.
Review & approval of various Head Office expenditure items (e.g. Commissions & Incentives)
Ensuring all internal accounting procedures & policies are sound.
Monitor processes in the business unit to ensure compliance with company’s ethical values
Ensure an adequate control environment, SOX compliance & other regulatory requirements
Develop close business partnering with the District Managers and other Senior Internal Customers.
Maintain and develop financial policies & management information systems
Provide a high quality support service by liaising with management colleagues on all aspects of finance
