MALE PHYSICAL EDUCATION EDUCATOR & SPORTS COACH 2024The school is looking to appoint a full-time, experienced male Physical Education Educator and Sports Coach for 2024. Candidates must have relevant qualifications. Please note that consideration will only be given to candidates with the following:
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE A relevant teaching qualification (with Physical Education as a specialisation being an advantage) or a degree in Sport's Science / Management.Relevant coaching qualifications in various sporting disciplines within a school environment.A minimum of 3 years – experience working with and coaching children.SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND REQUIREMENTS An in-depth knowledge of the Physical Education subject content on primary school level.Adaptability with regards to coaching various sporting disciplines, preferably the disciplines of Cricket, Soccer, Hockey and Swimming.Be prepared to work after hours and weekends and be an integral part of the extra-mural programme.Advanced ICT administrative skills with the ability to incorporate technology into administration practice.A team player, with strong communication skills and work ethic.Ability to schedule and organise fixtures in various sporting disciplines.Organisation and management of coaches in various sporting disciplines.English and Afrikaans proficiency, with excellent written and communication skills.Practicing Catholic or thorough understanding of Catholicism.Willingness to uphold the Catholic ethos of the School.A valid Police clearance Certificate.A PDP license and recent first aid training would be an advantage.Please note that rugby and athletics are not sporting codes at St Paulus Primary School.
