As the Logistics Manager , you will be accountable for the management, control, recording and reporting of all material and finished goods movements, from the suppliers to plants then to distribution and customers. The Logistics Team is the primary mill interface with the KCSA Supply Chain Team and suppliers. The team is accountable for supporting the Operations Team with all relevant production data. As an FMT member, you, as the Logistics Manager, will be required to support the delivery of mill Objectives in the areas of Safety, Environment, Quality, Customer Service, Compliance and Cost of Manufacture. You will also get involved in all Mill strategic intent, People Enablement and Engagements.
To be considered for this role, you'll need to hold a degree in a Logistics/Supply Chain/Operations/Engineering discipline preferably including SAPICS accredited. Have experience preferably an FMCG manufacturing/logistics/distribution/inventory management environment with team or functional leadership being an advantage. We'll need you to have good, working knowledge of a modern ERP systems, preferably SAP R3 as well as Microsoft packages.
You will need sound knowledge of all elements of MRP, including BOM, production recording processes and cost management/budget control and the ability to work collaboratively with multi-dimensional and functional teams within the facility and across the business.
You will be technically competent in all aspects of manufacturing-oriented supply chain logistics and have extensive business process information knowledge in a manufacturing environment (this would be an advantage)
