Duties & ResponsibilitiesManaging and development of employees reporting to this positionPlanning and management of employee leave and overtimeMaintain driver development pipelineAccurately estimate the resources needed per grower per seasonCalculate a cost estimation to set tariffs for the blueberry seasonFacilitate SLA sign off from growersCompile and submit 3-to-5-year plans for department's human resource requirements, transport of labour and transport of fruitCompile a replacement plan for vehiclesCompile annual budget and submit budget to EXCOManage and monitor budget monthlyCompile monthly invoicing of berry and pome transport to growersCompile monthly interdepartmental costing based on e-logbooksMaintenance and Management of forklift equipmentManaging the dispatch process for BlueberriesInvoicing of dispatch charges monthly to packhouseCheck availability of fuel and ordering of fuel for all depotsCapturing of delivery notesManaging the interdepartmental invoicing of fuelManaging the fuel tag processDesired Experience & QualificationDiploma or Degree in Logistics Management or similar relevant qualificationComputer literate in MS Office (advanced Excel skills)5 years' experience in logistics managementExtensive transport Industry KnowledgeLogistics and transport experience in the agricultural industry will be advantageousExperience managing and developing people is essentialExcellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels in the businessExcellent problem-solving skillsStrong forward thinking skillsStrong numerical and analytical skillsBehaves in a respectful, honest, and ethical mannerKeen attention to detailSound decision making skillsWell-developed planning and coordinating skillsMust have experience in team motivation and empowermentMust have a learning and growth mindset to keep up to date with latest happenings and trends in supply chain management.The post Logistics Manager appeared first on freerecruit.co.za.
