Logistics Coordinator, Durbanville

Our client in the fruit exports industry is looking for a Logistics professional to join their team.
Only candidates with experience in the Fruit Export Industry will be considered for this position. Candidate should be able to work independently and able to make best cost affective decisions.
Duties and Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate the logistics department from buying to deliveryManage and allocate dispatches according to supply and demand programHandle and follow up Export documentationArrange logistics proceduresGenerate marketing volume reportsSummarise and communicate weekly plan to relevant partiesCheck and approve invoicesNegotiating and maintaining relationships with Shipping LinesNegotiate daily with forwarding agentsNegotiate daily with cold roomsVessel planning & stock managementExport Documentation (Addendums/Packing Lists)Weekly/Seasonal ReportingPack house activities (Labelling)System Expert/ Knowledge of packed volumesBooking instruction to Shipping linesBooking referenceSteri Market Arrangements and protocols (Special Markets)Stocks allocationDaily stack datesLiaise with packing facilitiesPacking lists to clientsCommunicate changes of ETA's to clientsUpdate sailing schedule / shipments on a weekly basisAd-hoc queriesHandle all logistical queries from suppliers and clientsMinimum Requirements: Matric with relevant tertiary education5 years' experience in the Fruit Export environmentSystem knowledge and experience of logistic export systemsStrong Computer Skills (Excel advanced; MS office)Valid driver's licenseOwn transportStarting date: As soon as possible
