The SAE Institute, Rosebank Campus, is looking for a Sound lecturer toteach and share your passion for the sound industry with eager youngstudents; helping them grow individually, and ultimately playing a rolein their career paths and success in life The post requiresimpeccability in every aspect of the qualification's academic integrity,student support, academic content development, evaluation, moderation,assessment of learning as well as supporting SAE Institute's vision andmission. 

Requirements Responsibilities: ? Facilitation inaccordance with the learning outcomes as set for the course, with a focus onpractical application, theoretical frameworks, workflow, and technique.

? Mentor students, conductconsultations and facilitate learning opportunities.

? Research relevantcontent in order to develop learning material and lesson plans.

? Encourage learning styleflexibility, meta-learning, co-operative learning, self-regulated learning and21 st Century Skills.

? Evaluation, moderation, invigilation,and assessment of learning.

? Keep accurate records ofevidence (e.g. attendance, assessment results).

? Adhere to SAE policiesand procedures.

? Other duties as assignedby the HOD.

Experience,Education and Competency: ? Minimum NQF Level 8qualification (Honours) in the field of Music/Sound.

? Education and Qualifications: The prospectiveaudio post-production lecturer should hold a relevant degree (NQF 8), orcertification in audio engineering, sound design, music production, or arelated field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications in audiopost-production or related fields are also preferred.

? Industry Experience: The lecturer should haveextensive experience working in the audio post-production industry, preferablyin multiple roles such as audio engineer, sound designer, or music producer.Experience in the film, television and radio industries is particularlyrelevant for audio post-production colleges.

? Technical Expertise: The lecturer should havea thorough understanding of audio post-production techniques, equipment, andsoftware. They should be skilled in using industry-standard Pro Tools software.

? Teaching Experience: The lecturer should haveexperience teaching audio post-production courses, either in an academic orprofessional setting. They should be able to develop lesson plans, createeducational materials, and effectively communicate complex concepts tostudents.

? Communication Skills: The lecturer shouldhave excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. They should beable to effectively convey technical information to students and provide clearand constructive feedback on student work.

? Creativity and Innovation: The lecturershould have a strong creative vision and the ability to think outside the box.They should be able to inspire students and help them develop their own uniquecreative voices.

? Professionalism: The lecturer should beprofessional in their demeanour, punctual, and reliable. They should be able towork effectively with other faculty members and administrators, and maintain apositive and supportive learning environment.

? Industry Connections: The lecturer shouldhave connections within the audio post-production industry, and be able tobring in guest speakers or organize industry events for students.

? Commitment to Learning: The lecturer shouldbe committed to continuous learning and professional development, stayingup-to-date with the latest industry trends, techniques, and software.

? Passion for Teaching: Finally, the lecturershould have a genuine passion for teaching and mentoring students. They shouldbe dedicated to helping students achieve their goals and succeed in the audiopost-production industry.
