The International Hotel School Benoni Campus issearching for a Patisserie Lecturer. The purpose of this role is to teach andshare your passion for the culinary industry with eager young students; helpingthem grow individually, and ultimately playing a role in their career paths andsuccess in life. You will be responsible for:
Conduct theorylectures and kitchen pastry practical sessions Ensure a passrate of 85% and throughput rate of 90% is achieved Student tracking, counseling and support Input towardscurriculum development and improvement Apply assessmentprinciples as per assessor code of conduct Industry timeand research Taking the leadon all Competitions In charge ofPastry Based Excursions for the students
Requirements Requirements - Minimum NQF 5 qualification in the hospitalityindustry
- City and Guilds Diploma in Food Prep and Cooking& Patisserie
- CATHSSETA scoping – Unit 73292 is a requirement 
- Assessors and Moderators certificate
- Certified to conduct outcome-based assessment
- Minimum 5 years Pastry experience
- Minimum 2 years lecturing / teaching/assessor
- Experience in a managerial position isneeded
