Details of the offer

Role:
To develop the learning and development strategy in line with business strategic intent. Plan, coordinate and deliver learning and development activities in line with current and future organisational needs.

Job Objectives:
Translate organisational strategy into Learning and Development strategies and plans which aligns with business strategic intent.
Keep abreast of developing initiatives within the business, mitigate risk and identify solutions
Manage the design of training material and learning solutions and drive the implementation of the e-Learning strategy
Ensure the appropriate quality assurance processes are in place pertaining to content development, materials, media, testing, capturing of records including identifying opportunities to streamline processes.
Establish credible relationships by partnering with relevant external stakeholders to proactively identify strategic opportunities and grow the brand proposition. Build and maintain sustainable relationships with relevant professional bodies and/or regulatory bodies
Oversee the management and administration of the learning management system (LMS) and ensure accurate records are kept for BBBEE verification and other management report
Analyse key metrics and produce monthly management reports that will deliver insights to learning stakeholders, Provide intelligence and guidance on measuring the impact of learning interventions aligned to desired business and performance impact.
Lead and manage all Learning and Development programmes including talent development interventions
Manage relationships and evaluate performance with service providers and external consultants and ensure all the services are delivered in line with the agreed standard and cost
Conduct regular Skills Audits and develop a learning plan with robust solutions to critical needs and future skill requirements
Enhance learning and development solutions by staying abreast of relevant local and global best practice trends
Manage and compile annual WSP and ATR plans for the group in line with business and SETA requirements and to optimise skills development grants.

Manage the L&D Budget, review and approve expenditure in line with set budget, identify and implement cost efficiencies
Manage both the Pharmacy Academy and Retail Academy, ensure accreditation is retained and high quality training delivery
Actively participate in the Companys foundation pharmacy bursary scheme, manage bursar recruitment, communication and retention process
To ensure effective people management and development in order to build capability to meet current and future business needs and support the delivery of the brand Transformation Roadmap

Organisational behaviour and psychology Knowledge and application of adult learning theory and instructional design principles, with a focus on digital learning design and the latest training technologies and methodologies.
Knowledge of e-learning practices, principles and platforms
Knowledge of current and emerging learning technologies
Familiar with administration of one or more LMS platforms.
Experience with video and audio recording/editing software or other relevant softwareLearning assessment and moderation

8 - 10 years L&D experience of which at least 5 years is at a management level with the responsibility of managing a function

Experience in L&D Management, liaising and operating with senior managers

Experience in implementing e-learning solutions

Education:
Essential: Postgraduate degree in Human resources or Learning and Development or related field
