Lead, Value Chain Integration

PURPOSE: • To effectively coordinate processes across the mining value chain with an aim of increasing overall system throughput. • To make facts based decisions to optimise value throughout the business value chain from the pit right through to the port. • To drive technical and process improvements through increasing system wide availability and utilisation and reducing variability in order to maximize installed system capacity. • To ensure that the business is aligned and works towards one single integrated production schedule. • To monitor and track operational performance and the execution of the integrated production schedule. MAJOR CHALLENGES: • Working with and managing multi-disciplinary teams across multiple reporting lines. • Managing what may superficially appear to be conflicting needs from multiple teams within the value chain. • Fostering a culture of high performance and collaboration across multiple teams. • Striving for daily incremental operational improvement. • Managing product flow, buffers and constraints. • Assessing operational, financial and safety related risks and preparing adequate contingencies. • Contractor management.
