Progressive manufacturer of dairy products has an opportunity available for a Laboratory Coordinatorat its facility situated in Durbanville.Fair Cape Dairies / Fruitiqueis a major producer of dairy products in the Western Cape and throughout South Africa, not only via Fair Cape brand, but also through our association with other brands.Purpose of this position:To oversee the operation of the laboratory and to coordinate and manage the Quality Control functions from Incoming Goods to final product leaving the warehouse.Key responsibility is also the coordination and maintenance of all Quality Systems and Procedures.Prefered Minimum Requirements:MatricBSc: Chemistry / Biochemistry/ Biotechnology or National Diploma / Degree in Food Technology3-5 Years Experience in similar role Food manufacturing / processing environmentStaff management will be advantageousKnowledgeKnowledge of ISO, HACCP, GMP, Food Technology, Microbiology, Analytical ChemistryWorld class manufacturing and quality practices and modelsSpecific product and process knowledgeManagement systemsProblem Solving ToolsMathematics & Audit ComplianceAseptic sampling methods.Skills Ability to maintain Quality Management and Quality Control systems in line with best practiceManaging and leading teams towards high performanceQC skills and use of apparatusChange ManagementMonitoring and reviewingConflict handlingAudits & Administration ManagementGood People skillsSpecial ConditionsReliable transport (own car)
