The Opportunity As a Junior Technical Writer, you will enjoy writing, editing, and updating content. Your responsibilities will include gathering information and producing a variety of documentation to help our clients understand our products and help developers to implement and support them. You will work in the Knowledge and Learning team, and you will regularly collaborate with engineers, business analysts, subject matter experts, and others. Your work will be instrumental in fostering strong and positive relationships with clients, and will have a significant impact on overall client satisfaction. Requirements Your Responsibilities As Junior Technical Writer, you will be responsible for the following: Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organise, and write document sets. Analyse and filter data to ensure accuracy and completeness of content created or reviewed. Effectively utilise content management platforms to create and/or maintain content including: Online editing and publishing platforms Docs-like-code tools and workflows, e.g., Git/Github and Redocly Obtain a deep understanding of products and services to translate complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging content. Produce user documentation including: Overview/feature guides Design guides Implementation guides Support guides Ensure all documents conform to style guidelines and are internally consistent. Maintain existing content and reference material through: Regular updates resulting from stakeholder engagement / feedback. Routine reviews of existing product document sets. Maintain good working relationships with all key stakeholders, e.g., Business Analysts, Engineering, Product, SMEs, Sales. Assist with document reviews as requested by stakeholders. What you'll need Tertiary qualification in a technical field (science, engineering), or demonstrated experience producing written technical content. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar or related role.
