Junior Java Developer

Requirements A BSc(Eng)/BEng/BIng degree in Electrical or Electrical and Computer Engineering; BSc(Comp Sci) or BSc(Eng) Mechatronics Applicants with further postgraduate degrees are welcome. A good academic record (> 60% average). Either South African citizenship/permanent residence, or a degree from a South African university and a valid work permit. An interest in signal processing As the job requires a good technical understanding of the end products and the domain they are used in, preference will be given to candidates with a strong academic background. Knowledge of DSP digital signal processing is an advantage Skills required: Java GUI development: Swing & JavaFX Relational databases & SQL Linux Gradle/Maven OpenGL Web application stacks such as Node.js, REACT, Java spring Android Mobile Development Machine Learning Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
