In this role you will be responsible to work with senior leaders to define and evolve the overarching ABB Target Enterprise Architecture, define and accelerate 3 - 5 years IT roadmap to ensure an adaptable and modern IT landscape for the future.The location of the role is flexible with a preference for a European time zone, preferably outside Switzerland.
Your responsibilitiesLead the design and management of reference architectures. Assess the current IT environment and develop a future state IT architecture. Identify the enterprise business drivers and requirements that advance future-state architecture capabilities. Provide the transparency and visibility of progress of roadmaps based on the objectives.Lead identification and analysis of key industry and technology trends to assess potential effect on the enterprise.Direct the research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry and market trends; promote innovative solutions. Facilitate the cross-ABB design of minimum viable architectures.Develop relationships with other enterprise leaders to understand current and emerging business needs and manage the overarching ABB IS Innovation Portfolio.Build the long-term strategic plans and roadmap for key architecture components in line with business priorities and objectives. Maintain a holistic view of the ABB's strategy, processes, information and technology assets.Facilitate and coordinate efforts toward the establishment of the innovation portfolio definition, its structure and processes. Support a balanced portfolio of capability-led projects that include sustainable and disruptive initiatives that include product, service, process, platform and business model innovation.Your backgroundMore than 10 years of relevant working experience (e.g. in IT Architecture, Innovation) in large complex organizations with approx 5 years' experience in senior leadership role connected with technologyDeep expert knowledge across areas of technology, especially current and future technical and applications architecture and its implicationsCuriosity to learn about potentially relevant new technologies and see their implications and possible usesBroad network within the technology industry (inc. know-how of best practices)Finely tuned communication and influencing skillsSignificant experience in diverse organizational setups: enterprise, vendor, start-up, is a significant advantageMore about usIt is our mission in Information Systems (IS) to harness the power of information technology to deliver valuable, reliable and competitive IS services for ABB.
