Inventory Controller

Candidate Requirements:Grade 12Previous experience working at a Safari Lodge as either F&B Manager or Lodge Manager level capacityBasic accounting understandingKnowledge of at least 2 leading Point of sale/Inventory management systems and preferably experience setting up a systemAn understanding of Pastel Evolution Inventory Model and TallOrder Inventory Module (Beneficial)Strong, measurable understanding of inventory management and financial processes required for cost-of-sale calculationsManagement and distribution of inventory to properties, working with partner suppliers where applicableImplementing and maintaining an inventory tracking system to accurately monitor stock levelsPreparing and documenting daily deliveries and shipments and keeping properties up to date on orders placed, deliveries received, and stock in transitReceiving and checking all F&F items delivered and communicating to the procurement company should there be a needPurchasing new stock, negotiating favorable contracts with suppliers, and managing the allocation processTo ensure accurate stock takes are done on-site, quarterly on-site audits of month-end processes and variancesCoordinating property budgets with the relevant General Managers to align purchases across the group and facilitate these purchases, offering the best-negotiated price to the propertiesTo assist with the logistics of sending equipment from lodges for repairs in Jhb and sourcing maintenance equipment as requested by the maintenancemanagerSupport the properties with Cost-of-sale variance investigations and provide assistance with resolving and implementing corrective changes#J-18808-Ljbffr
