Internal Sales Representative

Overview

This position is responsible for the effective and efficient action of all duties relating to an internal sales environment. Responsibilities includes the handling of customer inquiries in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Client contact is through emails, telephone calls or proprietary online portals.

Qualifications

- Matric
- Tertiary Education in Sales / Marketing Experience

Three years’ experience in Internal Sales environment in a heavy industry such as mining, oil and gas or petrochemicals, at least two of which at managerial level.

Duties

- Solve daily problems relating to all internal sales and related activities.
- Function in a high level cross functional team, leading and inspiring other team members.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of operational and internal sales requirements.
- Excellent housekeeping skills – maintain orderly working areas and sound relationships.
- Understanding client needs and offering solutions and support.
- Presenting and delivering information or samples to potential clients.
- Answering potential client questions and follow-up call questions.
- Maintaining database of current and prospective client information.
- Create demands on the AX system from the internal and external sales.
- Create demands on the ExportDocs system for export sales.
- Process sales quotations and also subsequent sales orders on the AX system.

- Confirmation of customer delivery through the timeous invoicing of ex-wharf deliveries Ensures compliance with the PMC Supply Chain policy at all times.
