THE POSITION:
The Integrated Wellness Coordinator provides supports to youth, families and adults with, and affected by, alcohol and drug addictions. This position allows This position is inclusive of a variety of social programs intent on bridging gaps and services that will strengthen linkages of community service
-based programming.
The ideal candidate will have some related post-secondary-education and/or relevant experience.
Experience working as a team member in program and service delivery, together with strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills enable the Candidate to establish effective working relationships with co-workers and clients.
THE INTEGRATED WELLNESS CO-ORDINATOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR:
The program will combine holistic and culturally appropriate approaches with mainstream best practices that are respectful of the diversity of our PAGC communities. Some areas of focus would be:
Community Development
Mental Health
NNADAP/Addictions
Building Healthy Communities/Brighter Futures
Family/Domestic Violence
QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic and or introductory counselling/supervisory skills
Certificate in St. John’s First Aid & CPR a definite requirement
Basic knowledge of computer software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, and knowledge of internet use) must maintain strict confidentiality as it pertains to all aspects of counselling and client/counsellor relationshiprelated experience in the human services fieldhighly developed verbal and written communication skillsability to provide profile, evidence of participation and maintenance of a healthy lifestylemust undergo a Federal Criminal Record Search, the results of which may influence the decision to employability to speak a First Nations language, a definite asset preferably Cree, Dakota or Deneability to develop and maintain positive interpersonal relationshipsself motivated with exceptional coordination, able to follow directionsaccurate, organized and attentive to detailapproachable, adaptable and creativestrong aptitude to work under pressure with confidence, discretion and confidentiality acquire and maintain professional certification, responsible for initial and annual fee Deadline for applications:
