We are looking for an experienced, professional and future-fit HRBP to join our Human Resources team to collaborate and support the Operations team in the Cape Town region.
This role will support and execute the HR Strategy and empower stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives.
This position is based in Cape Town and the successful candidate will be required to travel between stores within the Cape Town and surrounding areas. Our ideal candidate will therefore be able to thrive in high-pressure and deadline-driven situations; be strategic thinker and possess excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities include: Work in close partnership with the HR and Operations teams, in full support of the functional and operational plans for the region.Implement action plans to achieve agreed business objectives in line with Company principles and valuesActively support and contribute to the delivery of key objectives of the teamPartner with key business stakeholders to ensure the implementation of sound and fair HR practicesConduct sound employee life cycle management practices in line with our company vision of being a #1 EmployerEnsure sound employee & employer relations management practices in line with all Labour Legislation and company policies & proceduresAct as a custodian of the company culture, values and principles in line with the company brandProvide constant, effective and efficient administrative services through a professional approachDrive continuous improvement, individual initiative and self-developmentExecute and deliver on adhoc HR Projects, Interventions and dutiesQualifications and Experience Required A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management / Industrial Psychology or similarMinimum of 4 years proven experience in a similar HR role is requiredPreference will be given to candidates with HR experience within a Retail environmentA valid driver's license (your own car is required)Practical knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook is requiredPreference will be given to candidates with an intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft ExcelWorking experience with various HR Information Systems is preferred (including payroll systems, recruitment platforms, etc.)Preference will be given to candidates with PaySpace People experienceKey Skills and Competencies Client-centric and focused on customer service and diversityWork in close partnership and engage with relevant business stakeholders (Relating and Networking)Logical, Analytical and Critical ThinkingRelationship BuildingCollaborationInitiativePerseverance/ResilienceInterpersonalPlanning, Organising and ControllingAbility to manage stress and work under pressureClosing Date: The closing date for this vacancy will be 12 January 2024, after which candidate applications will be screened and feedback will be provided.
