Job Purpose
To provide efficient and effective support to HC Business Partner within a defined framework, policy, process and procedures.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience
A Grade 12 Certificate
3 years' relevant experience in a HC administrative support environment
Computer skills (Ms Office) is essential
Recommendations Human Resources Management Diploma or equivalent
Exposure to HR practices preferably in a HE environment
Applied knowledge of Integrated Tertiary Software (ITS)
Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities
•Appointments administration and data capturing
•Leave administration and records management
•Information management
•Administer HC related documentation, such as contracts of employment
•Provide basic advice on the policies and procedures to staff
•General HC administration
•Participation and Administration of HC projects assigned by the line manager.
•Good verbal and written communication skills
•Planning and time management skills
•High level of accuracy and attention to detail
•Client focused and quality orientated
•Ability to work independently and as a member of the team
•Ability to work under pressure and meet tight monthly deadlines
•Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
•Strong knowledge of HR policies and Acts
•Computer literacy
•Excellent interpersonal and customer care skills
•Strong administrative skills
