We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR professional to join our team as an HR Business Partner with a focus on HR Operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in aligning HR strategies with business objectives while overseeing and optimising HR operations processes. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong operational skills to ensure the effective delivery of HR services across the organisation.
What you will be doing: Coaching and advice: Advise, coach and support senior leaders on the wide range of HR ProcessesSupport various stakeholders in the development and implementation of initiatives aimed at optimising and managing organisational effectivenessIdentify and analyse opportunities for process improvements and automations and executing the development of HR processesProvide guidance and support to managers on employee relations matters, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace cultureConduct investigations and resolve employee relations issues in a fair and consistent mannerDevelop and maintain employee happiness: Provide training to employees and managers to improve their understanding of topics such as communication, self-wellness, empathy, and how to work with others.Ensure overall workplace atmosphere and environment is positive (including the physical environment)Help onboard new employees to ensure that turnover is reducedHelp build team unity through team building events and trainingHelp prevent any conflicts that could occur in the workplace and train managers in conflict resolutionTalent Acquisition, Professional Growth & Career Advancement: Work closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and contribute to the development of effective recruitment strategiesManaging training and development initiatives to guarantee compliance with established standardsDrive the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development planningResponsible for recruitment activities such as creating job descriptions, screening CVs, conducting interviews, etcAdmin and Compliance: Supervising the leave management system, ensuring compliance with policies and optimising efficiency in tracking employee absences and managing leave requestsFull payroll and employee benefits management, ensuring 100% accuracy and assisting with any audit requirementsAssisting with mandatory reporting requirements (e.g., Employment Equity, SETA)Stay current on employment laws and regulations to ensure organisational complianceContinuous improvement: Utilise HR data and analytics to identify trends, measure HR program effectiveness, and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvementProvides input to the design and development of company-wide HR initiatives and ensures they are aligned with business needsWhat we are looking for: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field5+ years of HR experience, with a focus on both business partnering and HR operationsStrong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulationsExcellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skillsProven ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levelsStrategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into HR strategiesStrong organizational and project management skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretionWe offer: A unique experience in an entrepreneurial, yet structured environmentA unique opportunity of having strong impact in building the African e-commerce sectorThe opportunity to become part of a highly professional and dynamic teamAn unparalleled personal and professional growth as our longer term objective is to train the next generation of leaders.
