We are seeking a meticulous and proactive individual to join our client's team as a Hotel Group Night Auditor in Cape Town.
DescriptionRespond promptly to guest complaints, requests, and emergenciesReconcile accounts (debtors) and balance the cash drawerInvestigate and resolve out-of-balance accountsMaintain accurate financial and revenue recordsAssist in preparing forecasts and auditsSummarize nightly operations and list follow-up tasks for managementProcess invoices, transactions, room charges, refunds, etc.Post room charges, taxes, and other relevant charges to guest accountsTransfer charges and deposits to master accountsVerify the accuracy of all transactions and postings in the PMS systemPrint and file reservations for the next business dayVerify account postings and balancesEnsure correct room rates are applied to guest accountsMonitor promotional programs, track room revenues, and occupancy statisticsPrepare a summary of cash, check, and credit card activitiesCheck figures, postings, and documents for accuracyRecord, store, access, and analyze computerized financial informationExecute end-of-day procedures diligentlyMinimum Matric or equivalent qualificationProficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft ExcelSkilled and trained in Roomraccoon PMSFluent in English; proficiency in additional languages advantageousPrevious Night Audit or Night Manager experience is essentialExcellent organizational, communication, and administrative skillsDemonstrated leadership abilities, including suggesting and implementing procedures for financial accuracyFull Front Office Experience required, including restaurant and bar cash-up and end-of-day proceduresKnowledgeable in guest relations, crisis management, cash handling, auditing, and online bookingsAbility to make bookings and reservations#J-18808-Ljbffr
