Our team in Pomona, Johannesburg currently has an opening for a Head of Product Management, Brenntag Essentials This role is responsible for leading the optimisation of gross profit bymanaging product management and operational procurement within the country cluster.This role involves direct sourcing, new product introductions, productcompliance, maintaining supplier satisfaction, defining local product/serviceportfolios, pricing and supplier strategies, and managing product management/sourcingteams. YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIESOptimisation of GP/Margin: Drive product management and operational procurement to maximise profitability and ensure sustainable product availability.Cost-Optimal Direct Sourcing: Ensure sourcing is executed efficiently to minimise costs and ensure product availability.New Product Introductions: Manage the introduction of new products and oversee their compliance.Supplier Satisfaction: Identify new suppliers for products, build and maintain relationships and negotiate contracts.Product/Service Portfolio Management: Define and manage the local product and service portfolio.Pricing and Supplier Strategy: Implement regional pricing and supplier strategies within the country cluster.Team Management: Lead and develop regional product management/sourcing team, ensuring alignment with global sourcing policies.Compliance and Regulation: Ensure all procurement and product management activities comply with relevant laws and company policies.Short dated stock: Assist in selling short dated stock (where applicable).Maintain Good Housekeeping Practices in area of responsibility.Adhere to Company Standard Operating Procedures & Policies at all times.YOUR PROFILEMatricBachelor's degree inBusiness, Supply Chain Management, BSC/MBA or a related field.Professionalcertifications in procurement or supply chain management are advantageous.5 to 8 years' experiencein a Marketing/Sales/Procurement function that includes managing complex and/orsignificant supplier/customer (Chemical commodities industry preferred,(Cleaning, Construction, Agri, Mining etc)Experience in supplierrelationship management and contract negotiation.Experience with CRM andMS OfficeSAP knowledgeadvantageousInternational/Regional/LocaltravelValid driver'slicence and own vehicle OUR OFFER Market related.
