Role DescriptionThe purpose of this job is to lead the strategy on Brand Development, including development of New Products, Sponsorships, Media and CSR Initiatives; and Innovation and Insights for the Client`s Brand – conceptualisation, planning and creative execution to achieve Clients Africa's approved growth revenue and profit targets across 22 markets in Sub Sahara Africa, by working closely with Franchise partners.Responsibilities:Lead the strategy and thought leadershipLead and coach direct reports and partner cross-functionally to deliver pipelineProvide input to the annual operating plan and processManage communication :Internal: CMO, FIT, Other Marketing Directors, Executive Team, Marketing, IT, Ops, Digital, and Finance.External: Franchisees, Local Store Marketers, Agencies.The ability to manage and influence cross functional teams and franchise partners.Identify Quick wins from International best practice and established repeatable models. Adopt with urgencyDevelop concepts/products that are baked –in – wholly consistent and congruent ideas that lead to innovative advertising that cuts through the clutter.Skills:A good mix of strong conceptual skills, analytical capability and commercial prudence.Flair for communication, creative development and aesthetic guidanceAbility to manage and lead mediaAbility to influenceSub Sahara Africa exposureQualifications and experience:Post graduate qualification preferred- MBA or equivalentBCom MarketingMin 12-15 years business experience, with at least 5-7 yrs in a senior marketing positionTeam leadership responsibility, at strategy formulation level in a Consumer Products Company, preferably R1bn+ in size; Retail, service and/or multi-outlet industry highly regarded.Experience in corporate and/or strategic planning, branding, advertising, sales promotion, product development, pricing, market research.Experience in leading product development, insights highly desirable.Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills and a strong team leader.Excellent communication and influencing skills; & high work ethic with the ability to work under pressure and overcome adversityStrong track record of developing and implementing successful marketing campaignsProven ability to manage and mentor a marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellenceExperience in conducting market research and analyzing customer preferences and behaviorExcellent communication skills, including the ability to tailor communication to different audiences and channelsDemonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, ever-changing environmentExperience working in the African market preferred; knowledge of African cultures, business practices, and consumer trends a plusJob Type: Full-timeEducation:Masters (Required)Experience:Africa exposure: 5 years (Required)marketing strategy: 10 years (Required)#J-18808-Ljbffr
