Kenya – Governess/Housemanager
We have a very sweet natured family looking for a professional and educated qualified Teacher/Governess to home school their little girl who is 3 1/2 years old. (there is also a 9 month old baby). You will be responsible for the educational development of the little girl as she will not be returning to school for the next year. Along with you working on her educational growth and focusing on her English language development you will be arranging fun activities, encouraging good behaviour, teaching good manners and social skills. The family require ideally a qualified EYS/Primary teacher, or someone educated who has taught the British curriculum in a similar role. You must have experience teaching children of the same age and English must be your native language. The perfect candidate will have a calm, loving and patient nature with excellent communication and organisational skills. There are no nursery duties for you to do as this is a staffed household with a chef and housekeepers. An addition to your role will be to oversee the staff and you will be their point of contact. Ensuring they complete their duties and arrange the staff monthly Rota. You will be required to work Monday to Friday 10 hours a day. (With a break). The family travel internationally (when permitted) and you will be required to travel with them. Accommodation is your own villa within the family estate which is very private. This will initially be a year’s contract but ideally the family would like someone who is looking for a long term role. Whoever is successful in this position will be made to feel very welcome. A previous nanny highly recommends the role. ASAP start. Salary £800 – 1300 per week.
