OverviewWe are looking for a visionary, highly collaborative leader who is comfortable navigating through ambiguity to create a structured, programmatic approach to facilities management. The ideal candidate will be forward-thinking and client-focused, have comfort working with emerging technology and solutions, fresh industry perspective, and can collaborate across multiple operational and client stakeholders in a faced-paced environment.Education and experience required:Bachelor's degree or equivalentMinimum of 15 years' experience in the services IndustryMinimum of 10 years' facilities management experienceKnowledge Skills and Competencies required:Clear communication skills Good interpersonal skillsAbility to interact with clients at all levels.Proven track record of excellent internal and external customer serviceSuccessful team builder with people management experience, strong interpersonal skills, and problem solving abilityExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate professionallyHigh degree of innovation with the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environmentAnalytical skills – operational performance and reliability maintenanceStrategic user of business intelligence, data, reporting & analytics to drive efficiency.Valid SA driver's license and own vehicleProficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Work, PowerPoint and Outlook)Desired SkillsDemonstrates a drive to succeed and be able to work independently in order to grow revenue and profits.Demonstrates a high degree of honesty, integrity, diligence, charisma, innovation and customer-service attitude and projects a professional appearance/demeanor to inspire confidence in our customersPlans and prioritizes operational demands, very organized and professional and keeps manager appraised of all operational activitiesDemonstrated ability in problem solving and negotiation with clients to arrive at a win/win solution.Strong liaison and communication skillsKey areas of responsibility:Relationship Management/OperationsEstablish/Strengthen credible relationships with Client and Stakeholders.Continually focus on building strong customer relationship while ensuring resources are fully engaged in delivering a -performance service.Maintain active participation in developing a positive work environment with third party vendors that will provide them the opportunity to maximize their service delivery.People ManagementProvide leadership to Facilities Management teams across the board.Develop and sustain a high-quality well-motivated FM teams.Ensure high staff morale, trust and work ethicsBuild and maintain an environment that supports teamwork, co-operation and performance excellence within the FM teams.Mentor and enable Training & Development of team membersPromote Initiative/Idea sharing across the sites and create opportunities for wider collaboration in the account and company.Maintain active participation in developing a positive work environment for Facilities Managers that provides them the opportunity to reach their potential goals in-line with client's objective and customer satisfaction.Drive learning and development programs for Property, Engineering, Vendor Management, Finance process/procedural gaps.Promote employee and/or site team recognition for service and quality accomplishments.Client Relations – External and InternalDrive the culture of service excellence in line with the organisations goals.Improve operations by maintaining frequent communication with direct reports and ongoing interaction with clients.Governance/Account ManagementEnsure critical & key performance measurements & achieve targets.Ensure that all contracts are implemented with excellence at sites and performance managed working closely with respective Facilities Managers.Continue to engage and inform client during weekly and monthly Governance operation review meeting. Reporting latest operations work order metrics along with financial reporting and other ongoing operational activities.Conduct collaborative planning meetings with client to define, develop and implement strategic operating process plan that are in-line with client's business initiatives.Standardize Operating Procedures and ensure compliance with Client's policies and procedures, including all government regulations in the Region.Performance ManagementLeads the team in exceeding expectations with the organisation's goals and targets.Provides coaching to elevate performance.Ensure Facilities Management team is fully engaged in all elements of our platform: financial performance, operational excellence, people management, and project management.Ensure 100% facility uptime at all sites.Meet and exceed customer satisfaction score.TechnologyContinually seek use of various technology platforms to enhance service and streamline reporting.Risk and ComplianceMeet all Regulatory Compliance requirements and applicable compliance requirements as required for operations.Ensure that all sites meet all legal and Client require HSE requirements.Ensure that all Facilities Management teams are working in compliance with the organisation's regulationsAchieving Financial ResultsEnsure that all sites meet all financial targets and control requirements.Provide oversight to all sites ensuring standard monthly/quarterly/annual reporting and management reports are completed as required.Manages allocated budget, proactively identifying and preventing exceeding the plan.Ensure retention of all existing accountsGrow current business lines and expand the scope of business with the client to extend beyond existing services.Mitigates risk for the organization by ensuring that working capital is maintained within the organisation's guidelines.Provides timely, accurate reporting and useful analysis in assessing financial performance
