Check that watchmen are on duty. Plant Management: Monitor correct use of small plant and tools. Ensure correct application of plant and implements. Report downtime and mechanical problems. Ensure daily refueling of plant. Plan for and clean plant as per schedule. Material Management: Plan material requirements according to weekly plan. Report shortfalls timeously. Responsible for receiving, storage and loss control of materials. Report exceptions to G.F / Site Agent. Responsible for house keeping of designated area. Check quality of delivered material. Use material according to prescriptions. Cost Management: Complete daily costing sheets and report results. Allocate correct cost codes for fuel and labour. Plan and manage team that targets are met. Contractual Management: Responsible for quality of work. Ensure that safety procedures are followed. Responsible for quality control and testing of material and work. Use correct line of communication with Engineers. Public Relations: Ensure Healthy relationships with Engineers and Client. Communicate conduct to workers with respect to company transport, toilet facilities and use of any public facilities. Be aware of public access and particular requirements of the contract.
