Foreign Treasury And Financial Institution Manager

Main job function CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOBTo oversee and manage the foreign exchange operations and financial dealings with other institutions on an international level. This role involves strategizing and executing plans to optimize foreign currency trading, managing risks associated with foreign exchange fluctuations, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE JOBQuote FX spot rates to retail, SME, and corporate clientsFEC quotes, maturity management, swap transactions, facility managementOversee capturing of spot contracts and ensure FEC confirmations are sent out timeouslyCash FX risk management through hedging and covering strategyMarket guidance understand the impact of data releases and market events and convey them to clients in order for them to make more informed decisionsClient consultations accompany bankers on client visits to consult with clients on potential for growth in service utilisation and relationship managementManage external banking relationships ABSA, Standard Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Bank of New York MellonMonitor Nostro account utilisation and ensure minimum required transaction values and volumes are met to avoid incurring monthly charges.Inter franchise collaboration coordinate meetings, target setting, and progress management with related Group banks. Develop and guide strategy implementation for trade growthReporting monthly reporting to exco via GM Central Ops, Risk Comm, Board reportsTraining provide training to staff on forex products and servicesParticipate in projects that involve/have any elements linked to FX liquidity or transactionsTo drive and manage enhancements in the FX product portfolio QUALIFICATIONSBComm or equivalent degree will be required in order to meet the requirements of the role.PREFERRED EXPERIENCE2-5 years banking experience2 years dealing room experienceKNOWLEDGEMS office suite of productsRates booking system experienceUnderstanding of Economic conditions and its related impactsExchange control knowledge is an advantage A Consultant will be in touch if you are shortlisted for the position.
