Financial Investment Analyst

Our client is seeking a Financial Investment Analyst for a 12 month contract. The ideal individual will be responsible for investments and investment related data, at an operational level for the business, preparation of management reports, provision of interpretation of financial data and predictive results. If you are a qualified CA(SA) with at least 2 years post article experience, within the Financial Services sector and are looking to make a move, then this could be the ideal opportunity for you. Responsibilities: Preparation of management reports, provision of interpretation of financial data and predictive resultsPreparation and review of oracle ledgers as well as provision of disclosure reportsValuation and classification of Investments according to regulatory and international financial reporting standardsInvestments reconciliations on a fund levelProper analysis of all Investment balance sheet and income statement accounts for validity, completeness, accuracy, and correct recording into the annual financial statementsAssist with audit liaisons and statutory requirementsWork closely with finance and operations teams and/or service providers to ensure completeness and accuracy of authorized custodian as well as Direct Funds holdings data for reporting purposesDrive process improvements and simplification which includes automation projects and the preparation and maintenance of detailed workflows
