Division: One of the largest businesses within the Sanlam Group, Sanlam Corporate (SC) specialises in the provision of risk, investment and administration services to institutions and retirement funds. Focused on meeting the unique needs of its diverse clients, SC assists companies in creating and delivering customised employee benefits solutions, including the collection of premiums and communication to fund members.
The overall purpose of the role: The Simeka Finance Team is responsible for the financial processing, reporting and management of the Simeka legal entities. The financial controller takes responsibility of debtors management, income processing, receipts processing and reconciliations of revenue streams within the business. The financial controller will also be dealing with queries from both internal and external parties and be able to update and manage monthly management reports.
Key Responsibilities: Income management and processing Reconciliations of Simeka Health revenue streams Bank Receipting Liaising with external administrators Liaising with internal consultants within the business Calculation of referral commission payments Cost Centre reporting and analysis Preparation of monthly management reports Qualification and Experience: R elevant financial qualification 3-5 Experience in reconciliations and/or debtors management in financial services Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Knowledge of Accpac or similar accounting package preferable Knowledge and Skills: Attention to detail Independent worker Accuracy Good interpersonal skills Strong administrative and organisational skills Personal Qualities: Flexible and Adaptable - Rebounding from setbacks and adversity when facing difficult situations.
