Finance Manager - Projects & Operations

We are kicking off the new year with a great opportunity in Durban for a Financial Manager. Reporting to the Financial Director, you will focus on operational finance as well as business analysis while working closely with the Durban General Manager. You will be responsible for improving financial performance in key strategic areas, applying accounting principles and specific business management practices. Responsibilities: General oversight and administration management of the finance team.Overseeing the Durban costing procedures and costing team. Producing daily work in progress costing schedules for project managers. Producing monthly project partials reports for Directors to review. Reviewing and concluding all project closures for Durban.Working with the operational team on cost efficiencies, including negotiating best pricing and payment terms with suppliers and contractors.Manage agent commissions schedules, approvals and payments.Work with the Group finance team to improve capital cycles, with specific focus on invoicing and cash collection procedures.Prepare financial forecasts for the Durban business unit. Implementation of improved stock and asset control procedures.Assist with improving reporting times of monthly management accounts.
