Finance Manager

RPO's client in the Financial Services Industry is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their team of professionals in Sandton. The role requires a very strong candidate who will look after the company's investment portfolio and be the secretary of the investment committee.Responsibilities:Preparing monthly reports and analysis theretoPresenting reports to executive membersUnderstanding the risks affecting the distribution channels and assisting with the implementation of appropriate systems to mitigate these risksPreparing budgets and forecastsMonthly processing / reviewing draft trial balancesReviewing / preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliationsReviewing of daily payments and detailed analysis of supporting schedulesAdhoc reports and tasks (e.g. involvement in IFRS17 implementation)Preparation of financial statements on sections linked to investments (IFSR9)Automating reports in VENAPreparing annual financial statements and notes thereto, including accounting policiesAssisting with the annual audiRequirements:Attention to detailGood IFRS technical knowledgeQualified CA(SA)Microsoft suitePastel advantageousMinimum 4 to 5 years post article experience and post audit experience.Knowledge of the insurance industry would be an advantage SpecialBenefits:Market related salaryRPO is a Specialist Recruitment Agency that provides candidates and clients with unique recruitment solutions tailored to their needs.
