Finance Manager Save | Email | Print | PDF Remuneration: Market related Location: Johannesburg, Sandton Education level: Degree Job level: Mid Own transport required: Yes Travel requirement: Occasional Job policy: Employment Equity position Type: Permanent Company: Primedia Broadcasting Job descriptionAccounting managementFinancial reportingAchieves the timely recording of all transactions and the preparation of all financial reports.Manages monthly closing and controls the flow of data into the general ledger.Reviews forecast variance reporting ensuring quality financial information is issued to management.Reviews and if required, prepares various monthly, quarterly and annual fiscal reports, including income statements, balance sheets, forecasts and budgets.Ensures BEE supplier and other relevant information is updated in the software tool every month.Manages all reporting requirements to Management ensuring reports are delivered according to the reporting timetables and the reports are accurate.Develops an understanding of profitability of client business and provides responsible feedback using KPIs.Develops new systems and processes to adapt to new reporting requirements.Business managementReviews work product of finance department to ensure accuracy and completeness, using own discretion which includes but is not limited to:Management files and reconciliationsVatReleases (Finance and Salaries)Ensures that the organization's cash flow is adequate to meet its commitments.Manages various payments and allocations which includes but is not limited to:InsuranceAudit FeesSupervises staff and delegates daily work assignments based on own knowledge of department priorities.Protection of Company assetsProtects corporate assets through sound accounting policies and procedures which include:Provision for insurance coverProtection of business assets and loss prevention through strong internal controls and reviewsMaintenance of bank relationshipCredit and collection management in a timely fashionDesigns, implements and maintains Internal Controls in line with the relevant requirements for finance.Ensures accountants prepare balance sheet reconciliations that are up to date, clear and issues promptly dealt with.
