Responsible for the planning, implementation, managing and running of effective financial management by providing financial leadership, financial activities and business plan development and controlling accounting practices, including timely preparation of financial reports, business planning, budgeting, forecasting and negotiations.Responsibilities:Reporting to the CFOResponsible for management of Head of Finance, Head of MI (Indirect reporting Head of Payroll and Finance Manager)Financial Strategy and Implementation· Contribute to the development of the strategy by providing a view on the profitability of the business through financial analysis and performance forecasts.· Ensure the provision of advice on the financial, tax planning and financial risk management aspects.· Provide strategic recommendations and drive strategy implementation.· Review and approve the financial plan before presenting to Stratco and Exco for final approval.· Advise Stratco and Exco on business performance against the strategic and financial objectives.· Consider the competitive environment and the financial market to identify new opportunities for cost reduction or revenue enhancement and advise on areas of opportunities.· Understand financial and management accounts, with a particular focus on how expenditure is allocated and compliance with transfer pricing.Formulate solutions to enhance cost effectiveness and operating efficiency and ensure that actions are documented and assigned to owners and monitor the financial effects of implementation.Financial Performance, Measurement and Reporting:· Direct and oversee the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, data analysis and information reports.· Oversee the financial and management accounting reporting practices for the business to ensure that they meet the required standards.· Ensure financial reporting adheres to IFRS practices and standards.· Sign off the financial half year-end and year-end Financial and Tax reports.· Analyse financial results to enable the business to take timely appropriate actions to ensure optimal use of people and assets.· Coordinate all financial reporting requirements and participate in performance review discussions with relevant stakeholders.· Present and report accurate and timely financial information of the business in line with all deadlines.· Arrange for the preparation, approval, distribution and compliance with budgets by departments.· Monitoring and managing cash flow performance.Ensure that the business is appropriately funded to meet operational requirements and drive debtors' management.Financial Systems, Analysis Tools and Models:· Maintain financial systems in the business (including financial reporting systems, payroll system, time and attendance and workforce management systems, budget tools, asset registers).· Recommend financial system enhancements where required.· Participate in financial reporting developments to ensure that standards are maintained and that business's requirements are incorporated.· Establish and maintain a system to evaluate all strategic initiatives including project prioritisation and funding.· Compile forecasts that support the business strategy and meet investor expectations and evaluate the accuracy of forecasts against actual performance.· Enhance the understanding of the business through the preparation of:o constant currency reporting, to gross profit reporting by campaign, business pipeline, rolling forecast, commercial model for RFP's, contracting new customers and pricing reviews.· Implement systems to control: BBBEE strategy, initiatives, monitoring and compliance, DTI grants and Learnerships· Direct and oversee the management information team to support the business with operational and financial metrics.Direct new implementation of new reports as per business requests. Creating Power BI visuals for operational reports, driving the use of Power BI in the business.. Auditing and compliance. Stakeholder Relations and Risk Management. Leadership and People ManagementRequirements:· Qualified CA (SA).
