Description of the role A facility agent acts as the primary point of contact between the transaction parties on a syndicated loan.The Facility Agent will act as Facility Agent on IBL transactions in the Specialised Lending areas of the Bank.The Facility Agent performs an admin role for the syndicate and serves as a mediator between the Borrower andthe group of Lenders, in accordance with the requests of the group of Lenders and the Borrower as a stipulatedwithin the agreement.The Facility Agent is also the custodian of all original loan documentation. The result Effective and timeous execution of tasksLender co-ordination, communication, technical query resolution and distribution of legal and financialundertakings to all lendersTracking of Information Undertakings as per Facilities AgreementBuilding good meaningful relations with stakeholdersFacilitating Lender / Borrower calls for query resolution or decision makingDeal set up to facilitate effective deal management. Description of the skill and experience required Finance / Banking undergrad degree2 – 4 years Facility Agency experienceExposure to Export Credit Finance preferableAbility to interpret and operationalise complex deal, credit, ancillary & security documentationStrong understanding of lending risk environmentMust be driven to facilitate, drive change and optimise efficienciesIllustrate a high level of emotional intelligence, coachability, self-motivation and positive temperamentPro-active "can do" approach with the ability to problem solve in a collaborative environment,Be accountable and take ownership for the roleStrong verbal and written communication skills and ability to build and manage relationships with allstakeholdersProblem solving abilityStrong client service orientationAbility to work independently in a team dynamic.
