Draughtsman

Requirements:Qualifications: Relevant draughting qualification advantageous.Professional Registrations: Not required.Software: Microsoft Office (proficient)(excel, word, outlook), Nesting Software (any but not critical), any 3D design package (AutoCAD and Inventor preferred).Proficient in both English and Afrikaans. (Crucial) Responsibilities:Reports to engineering manager.Product development and design.Take on complete projects from start to finish including special projects.Load distributions and general arrangement drawings.Assist in implementing drawing standards/processes/documentation etc.Maintain products/databases/standards/administration etc.Assist production and repair departments as needed.Create nestings for plasma from time to time.Assist with day-to-day requirements.Data capturing and filing.Bills of materials.Proper planning and time management. The successful candidate will be expected to function successfully on their own and must be a quick learner.Maintain good interdepartmental communications and relations. Qualities/Skills:Excellent communication, numeracy, and computer literacy skills.Identifying problems and implement preventative strategies to minimize risk.Being able to develop good working relationships and trust with co-workers.Strong problem-solving skills, analytic ability and be very detail oriented.Working well with many different departments and external suppliers.Always keeping the end-user/customer in mind.Being results and deadline driven.Proficient in MS Office and CAD software.
