Distribution Analyst for Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa; Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve & Wellness Retreat & The Oyster Box Hotel Job Purpose: We are looking for a technically focused, detail orientated and highly organised team member who can operate under pressure to evaluate and guide the revenue strategy of our properties within South Africa with the goal of maximizing hotel profits.

Minimum Experience and Qualification Required: ·       Must have at least 4 years experience in a 4* or 5* Hotel; of which at least 2 years in a management role
·       Grade 12, Hotel School Diploma advantageous
·       Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel
·       Working knowledge of a property management system, exposure to Opera and various distribution systems is essential
·       Highly presentable
·       Excellent command of the English language with solid verbal and written communication skills
·       Able to work flexible working hours
·       Solid financial understanding
Advantageous Experience and Qualification Desired: ·       Experience or qualifications in e-marketing advantageous  
·       Experience in working with interface programmes advantageous    
·       Experience and knowledge of management systems namely; Synxis, Siteminder Trust advantageous

To be a key part of the Reservations and Groups Teams in according with Red Carnation Hotel Management principles by: ·       Recommending updates to hotel policies and procedures, in order to maintain high standards and provide the best possible service to guests, and implement improvements where required.

To manage the day-to-day operations of the revenue distribution department by: ·       Ensuring all target market segments are developed for the long term benefit of the hotels business needs
·       Facilitating daily communication needed by the operational teams
·         Ensuring that day-to-day tasks (for all the Southern Africa properties) such as analyzing and interpreting
      data to optimize distribution operations, managing key performance indicators (KPIs), inventory
·         Management.
·         Working collaboratively with the Reservations / Revenue Manager; ensuring that online rate parity is place and that the necessary daily checks are in place.
·         Ensuring that Website information on rates and  packages are relevant and that all information pertaining to packages on rooms and rates are up to date
·         Ensuring that the SABAR strategies are updated / loaded based on the sell / demand of each property
·         Ensure daily weekly and monthly revenue management reports and forecasts are completed as required
indicating high need periods including special events that may affect daily rates in order to maximize

·       Ensure daily weekly and monthly revenue management reports and forecasts are completed as required
·       Ensuring that trends in guest services are monitored and raised with the operational team with the intention to drive revenue at all properties. .

Under the leadership of the General Manger to coordinate and execute the hotel's annual budget requirements. 10%
To assume the duties of the Reservation and Groups Manager in his/her absence. 5%
Key Performance Objectives:·       To ensure that all target market segments are developed for the long-term benefit of the hotel's business
·       To ensure the hotel achieves the monthly budgeted revenues
·       Ensure all daily, weekly and monthly revenue management reports and forecasts are up to date and are completed in accordance with company procedures
·       Ensure monthly or bi monthly revenue meetings are set to include Sales & Marketing and Food & Beverage
·       To manage the Reservations and Groups Teams in according with Red Carnation Hotel Management principles
·       To manage the hotel social media accounts and answer guest questions and comments in real time.
NB: Preference will be given to employees from the designated groups with the provisions of employment equity act, no. 55 of 1998, sisa internal recruitment policy as well as units employment equity plans.
