Demand Planner – Chemical Industry

Overview Hire Resolve's client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Demand Planner to join their team in the chemical industry in Gauteng. The Demand Planner will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts to ensure optimal inventory levels and meet customer demand. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of supply chain principles, and experience in the chemical industry.Responsibilities: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to understand demand forecast requirementsDevelop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and customer feedbackMonitor and analyze demand patterns, sales trends, and market conditions to identify potential risks and opportunitiesWork closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials based on demand forecastsCommunicate forecasts and inventory requirements to internal stakeholders and external partnersMonitor inventory levels, identify excess or shortage situations, and implement corrective actionsSupport sales and operations planning processes to ensure alignment between demand forecasts and production capacityPrepare regular reports and metrics to track forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and supply chain performanceProfitability AnalysisPrice Master Auditing Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Chemicals, or a related field3+ years of experience in a complex chemical manufacturing planning environmentSolid understanding of forecasting techniques, inventory management, and supply chain principlesProficient in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, SAP, and demand planning softwareStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Contact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.
