Debtors Clerk – Paarden Eiland, Cape Town – R10000 to R12000 Per MonthPURPOSEApplications are invited for a Debtors Clerk position to be based in Paarden Eiland, Cape Town.The Debtors Clerk attends to the billing and debt collection requirements within the Finance department, while ensuring excellent customer service levels are maintained at all times. The suitable candidateMUST HAVEexperience in the entire debtors' cycle including accurate reconciliation of a CASH SALE account. (NAVISION experience is a bonus)REQUIREMENTSGrade 12Experience in customer serviceExperience in debtors & credit control (5+ years)SKILLS & COMPETENCIESGood communication skills (written and verbal)Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practice and collection regulationsEffective time managementProficiency in English and AfrikaansAbove average computer skills (MS Office, Excel, Word, Formulas, Spreadsheets)REPONSIBILITIESLiaising with Sales department and client to resolve outstanding queriesReconciliation of Debtors accounts (daily/weekly/monthly)Collections of outstanding payments owed by debtors and flagging exceptions for the Financial ControllerSuspensionsWeekly/Monthly reporting of cash collections and outstanding debtors – ageing reportsAttending to client requests to send invoices, credit notes and POD'sResolving potential problems with customersConstant dealing with customers regards to outstanding payment – reminders to be sentGeneral administration of debtor accounts (updating of account details)Filing of debtor's invoices, credit notes and POD'sAssist Financial Controller and Office Manager with ad hoc tasks', such as audits, stock takes etc.Reception DutiesEmail CV to ******
