Peach Paymentsis a fast growing Pan-African PSP that makes online commerce and digital payment acceptance easier and more accessible across all Africa. We work with small and large sellers to provide a complete toolkit to accept, manage and disburse payments through web and mobile.
Our merchant partners include your favourite food delivery services, whether you’re ordering in or using a meal kit, or even your neighbour’s side-hustle e-commerce store.

Why we’re hiring for this role:
We need help writing engaging copy for a range of marketing assets including our website, CRM system, ads, videos, blogs, newsletters and social media among other things.This role has a high degree of cross-functionality,working with sales, product and operations across a diverse range of projects and channels, so you’ll need to be comfortable with that.

As Content Marketing Manager you’ll be a key member of our Marketing Team and report to Josh Shimkin.
We'd like you to make an impact, so we're expecting you to:
Write clear, compelling and polished copy that further helps to position Peach as an ecommerce payments leader
Write commercially-focused copy that drives lead generation and other strategic business outcomes.
Make the complex simple and answer the question “Why does the customer care”
Own the evolution of brand tone and voice
Use SEO best practices to write copy that improves our organic rankings
As an ideal candidate, can you answer yes to the statements below?:
At least 4+ years experience as a marketing copywriter (with experience in both brand and SEO copywriting)
Your understanding of the English language and your ability to wield it is exceptional
You have an outstanding, diverse portfolio of relevant work that spans both long- and short-form writing across various brands, both large and small
You present ideas clearly and logically
You give and take feedback constructively, respectfully and with the understanding that there is never an ‘I’ - there is always and only a ‘we’
You love telling stories, but aren’t above being ‘salesy’ when you need to be
Comfortable working in an ambiguous environment. We’re a scale-up, so honing and building initial processes is still on our to-do list
Being accessible, empathetic and humble - these qualities will make you a valuable team member
An existing Work Authorisation / Permit to work in South Africa
You'll be a step ahead if you can:
Asses and improve technical SEO metrics such as site speed, mobile friendliness and structured data and schema frameworks
Work with HTML, CSS and Javascript, and have a thorough knowledge of their constraints and opportunities
Due to Covid 19, our teams currently work remotely.
If you’re currently not working remotely or never have, we’ll set expectations of what this looks like during our interview process.
In a nutshell, time- and self-management skills are going to be vital. Other considerations are access to a desk or workspace, internet access and perhaps a good supply of fresh air and coffee or tea - whatever gets you through your work day. ?
