Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Cloud Business Manager to lead and oversee our cloud services practice. The ideal candidate possesses a proven track record of successfully designing, implementing, and managing cloud solutions for clients across diverse industries.
As a Cloud Business Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our cloud strategy, driving growth, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality cloud solutions to our clients.
You will report directly to the CBO and lead & grow our superb in-house, client facing business unit. This role will be client facing as well as internally focused growing and managing a large team of consultants to effectively deliver incredible customer technology professional services. You will be responsible for the efficiency and effectiveness of the business unit and well as full Profit & Loss. Your duties will include managing & developing all consultants, running & growing business unit, resolving client & delivery issues, formulating & implementing growth and retention strategies as well as meeting business unit financial targets. You will also be responsible for leading and guiding on determining the right architectures for large scale cloud transformation projects including supporting the response to client proposals and bids. Develop proof of concepts and make recommendations on best practice reference architectures including on re-platforming or re-architecting applications. To be successful in this role, you will be able to define, articulate and implement operations strategies to complement the organization's objectives and meet revenue targets. You will have excellent leadership and communication skills to successfully provide guidance to your team, and you will have a vast knowledge of current delivery and engagement trends for AWS and customer journey enterprise cloud software and services. Key Responsibilities Strategy and Vision:Collaborate with the executive team to define and refine the company's cloud services strategy.Develop a clear vision for the cloud practice, aligning with overall business objectives.Identify emerging trends and technologies in the cloud space and incorporate them into the practice's strategy.Client Engagement:Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners, understanding their unique needs and challenges.Work closely with sales and business development teams to identify new business opportunities and drive growth.Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance and recommendations on cloud solutions.Problem solver - must be the level of escalation to be able to diffuse and resolve complex client delivery issues at a senior levelTeam Leadership:Be a great leader and be willing to invest business and personal time in building teams inside and outside the office Lead and manage a team of cloud architects, engineers, and consultants.Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, encouraging continuous learning and professional development.Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews.Grow high performing teams and drive throughput Play a key role in retaining key staff Solution Design and Delivery:Lead the design and architecture of cloud solutions that align with clients' requirements and industry best practices.Oversee the implementation of complex cloud projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.Provide technical guidance to the team, troubleshooting issues and making critical decisions as needed.Operational Excellence:Define and implement operational processes and procedures for the cloud practice.Monitor project progress, resource allocation, and budget management to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements.Help establish policies that promote company culture and vision Analytics - conduct business analyses, performance analyses, competitive analyses Work with HR to attract, retain, manage and develop the best people Work with finance to ensure Business Unit and Practice targets are met Work with Sales and Marketing to ensure business units are developed and growing - provide critical subject matter expert content to sales proposals and marketing content Work with software vendors and OEM's to develop the partnership and meet targets Adopt standard processes, best practices and operating procedures inside the business and innovate around ways of workingRequirements
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.Demonstrated expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Proven experience in managing and leading cloud-focused teams, with a strong ability to mentor and develop team members.Solid understanding of cloud architecture, design principles, and best practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in complex and fast-paced environments.Relevant industry certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.A track record of successful project delivery and client satisfaction, leading advanced cloud engineering teams and building out best-in-class capabilities. Experience creating business value from cloud offerings. Proven experience in combining complex data signals and campaign results into actionable insights and recommendations. Delivered exceptional client value through assessing current application landscape, recommending and delivering future state cloud architectures. Provide a new perspective to tough technical challenges and crafting solutions. Capturing best practices and sharing with clients/team.
