I. Major Responsibilities:
1. Conduct on-site education for physicians, healthcare providers, and patients across all transplantation phases. Plan and implement transplant patient education programs. Develop and maintain clinical educational materials for professionals and patients. Act as a resource for patients and families, providing guidance and support. Collaborates with the Transplant team to ensure that there are no access issues and patients are evaluated in a timely and efficient manner. Educate internal and external staff on referral/evaluation process and updated policy changes. Works with clinical staff to write/edit and produce patient communications collaterals including health-oriented collaterals, website content, etc.
2. Oversees the planning, organizing and implementation of assigned projects, programs, and campaigns to strengthen public interest and goodwill for the Transplant Division. Support program expansion through engagement with referring providers, patients, and diverse audiences. Monitor scheduling of provider education and outreach events regionally. Plan and execute outreach initiatives, site visits, conferences, CME activities, and events to promote the Transplant Program. Conducts tabling events and grassroot marketing at physician offices, dialysis facilities and in the community. Organize and participate in community events to raise awareness about transplantation. Establish relationships with community organizations, advocacy groups, and support networks.
3. Follow up on queries from referring physicians, administrators, or healthcare providers and establish strategies for service excellence.
4. Maintain open communication with the transplant leadership team and external stakeholders.
5. Analyze program data, collect metrics, and report to program directors. Establishes evaluative criteria and measures for assessing and monitoring the success/outcomes of communications and outreach efforts. Evaluate and assess education and outreach programs for improvement.
II. Position Qualifications:
License/Certification/Education:
Required:
1. Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
2. Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license and registration.
Preferred:
1. Master's degree in Nursing.
Experience/Skills:
Required:
1. Registered Nurse with minimum of 5 years' tertiary care experience
2. Understanding of market research, marketing plan development, and execution.
3. Experience in social media, with proven experience building successful social media profiles for organizations from the ground up. Solid understanding of social media landscape, platforms, and measurement tools.
4. Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making.
5. Must demonstrate clinical competence with excellent organizational skills that will lead to the effective planning and management of projects.
6. Demonstrated writing ability and oral presentation skills.
7. Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship management attributes to be demonstrated through interaction with physicians, administrative leadership, employees and community members.
8. Self-directed with an ability to set priorities and oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Must have valid driver's license with vehicle to potentially drive several hours per day to outreach sites.
Preferred:
1. Minimum of 3 years of Outreach in health-related industry.
2. Prior experience in transplantation and/or dialysis of gas
